From its inception in 1998, the Hat Luncheon has grown into the premier Spring event, with this year being no exception. Over 600 guests gathered in Frick Park on May 6th to celebrate our Pittsburgh Parks. The weather cooperated with sunny skies and warm temperatures.
Patrons sipped on mimosas while admiring the stunning floral decor by Fox and The Fleur. Creative lemon arrangements graced the tables, enhanced by lovely lavender plants.
Lunch was served by The Common Plea and included desserts served in small terra cotta-style planters.
This year's Co-chairs, Vivian Benter, Melanie Crockard, Diane Holder, Sloan Overstorm, and Latasha Wilson-Batch, have continued the legacy which began with the first hat luncheon over two decades ago by Ritchie Battle and Audrey Hillman Fisher.
Over the years, the event has raised over $11 million for
Pittsburgh Parks.
